Psychotherapy, often called "talk therapy," has been shown to be helpful for a variety of issues and difficulties, both past and present, which are causing distress in one's current life circumstances.  Psychotherapy can help you resolve these difficulties so you can begin to move forward.  I work with adults ages 21-99.

Some of the issues I can help with include (but are not limited to):

  • Abuse Survivors                               Couples/Marital/Premarital

  • Anxiety/Panic Disorder                     Communication Issues

  • Bipolar Disorder                              Divorce/Separation/Break-up

  • Death/Dying/Grief                         Family Conflict

  • Depression                                     Infertility Issues

  • Emotional Disturbances                     Parenting Issues

  • Life Transitions                                 Relationship Issues

  • Self-esteem/Self-worth                      Trust Issues

  • Spiritual Issues

  • Stress

  • Traumatic Experiences

  • Women's Issues

Life Coaching

Coaching is a professional relationship that helps people move from where they are in some aspect of their lives to where they want to be.  Coaching is not psychotherapy, and does not help resolve difficulties from the past; rather, coaching takes you from where you are and helps you move forward.  Coaching is not covered by insurance.  I am a Certified Relationship Coach and a Certified Divorce Recovery Coach.

Clinical Supervision

For Licensed Professional Counselors, Clinical Supervision helps you continue to develop your skill base, promote best practices, ensure the highest ethical integrity in your practice, and ultimately lead to improved outcomes for clients.

For Masters-level interns, Clinical Supervision provides the necessary oversight to begin practicing effective counseling skills consistent with the knowledge obtained through classwork, ensures that best practices and ethical guidelines are learned and followed, and ultimately maintains the client's safety and well-being while giving the intern real-life experience.  While I supervise licensed therapists, pre-licensed therapists, and interns, I do not provide the clients for the internship experience.

Supervision can be arranged for individuals, for groups of two (which still qualifies as individual supervision) and for groups up to six.
